Personalizing an ornament sounds easy until the text box is actually in front of you. Start with the kind of move you had, then borrow a line as written or swap in your own names and year.
The classics
- The Harlans, est. 2026
- Our First Home, 2026
- The Miller House, est. 2026
- Home Sweet Home, 2026
- First Christmas in Our New Home, 2026
- New Home, New Memories, 2026
With the address
- 44 Larkspur Ln
- 44 Larkspur Ln, est. 2026
- The Harlans, 44 Larkspur Ln
- 1204 Maple St, Our First Home
- Larkspur Lane, Christmas 2026
- 44.9778 N, 93.2650 W (the coordinates version)
A note on space before settling on a long line: engraving areas are small. On the designs we reviewed, street number and name fit comfortably, city and state need more room, and the full address with zip becomes cramped quickly. Tree photographs also carry whatever address is printed on the ornament. Choose a listing that previews your exact text, then check the line at ornament size.
First Christmas phrasings
- First Christmas in the New House, 2026
- Our First Christmas Here, 2026
- First Christmas at Maple Street
- The Year We Got the Keys, 2026
- New Address, Same Christmas, 2026
For an apartment
- Our First Place, 2026
- Apt 4B, est. 2026
- First Apartment, First Tree, 2026
- Third Floor, No Elevator, All Ours
- Emma and Jo, One Lease, 2026
Funny, in moderation
- Est. 2026, Mortgaged Until 2056
- We Bought a House. The Bank Helped.
- Officially Grown-Ups, 2026
- The Lawn Is Our Problem Now, 2026
- Fixer-Upper, Year One
One joke per ornament is about right. "Mortgaged until 2056" gets a laugh on the tree, but three jokes together start reading like a bumper sticker.
From the realtor
- Welcome Home, The Harlans, 2026
- The Keys Were the Easy Part, 2026
- Sold, Moved, Home. 2026
- Your First Christmas Home (your name small, or on the box)
Closing gifts read best when the client's name is the big text and yours is small or absent. The wording goes on the ornament; your branding belongs on the gift box. From 25 pieces this counts as a bulk order, and we quote those.
Moving in together, new builds, forever houses
- Two Names, One Address, 2026
- We Live Here Now, 2026
- From Two Places to One, 2026
- We Built This, 2026
- The Forever House, 2026
When the move was the hard part
Some moves follow a divorce, a loss, or a year that was mostly about getting through it. A few quieter options:
- New Walls, Same Us, 2026
- Chapter Two, 2026
- Still Standing, New Address, 2026
- Home Again, 2026
What to avoid
Lines longer than eight words or so, anything with the purchase price on it, and anything that does not sound like your family. Read the line aloud before ordering. If it sounds like a greeting card rather than like you, remove the words you would never say at home.
Seasonal reminders
Three emails a year. That's the whole list.
September (order early), late October (personalization deadlines), late November (last shipping day). Plus 10% off your first ornament.
